Coco Martin Used To Be A Part Of Daisy Siete Before He Transferred To ABS-CBN

Without a doubt, Coco Martin is definitely one of the biggest stars we have on Philippine television nowadays. Dubbed as the “Indie King,” Coco Martin has managed to make a name for himself after he has won several awards and citations due to his exemplary performances in movies that bagged him several awards.

Due to several recognitions both within the country and outside, he was given opportunities to land the biggest roles in mainstream television. We have seen him as a part of the Kapamilya ABS-CBN network for quite some time now, and he has actually been given quite great primetime shows.

Among the list of Coco’s projects with ABS-CBN are: Ligaw na Bulaklak in 2008, Nagsimula sa Puso (2009), Tayong Dalawa (2009), Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo (2010) and iDOL (2010). While these shows were huge successes, Coco only played supporting roles in all of them. It wasn’t after 2010 that he was given the biggest projects in which he top-billed.

He started with the series Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin in 2011, which was then followed by extremely successful shows like Walang Hanggan (2012), Juan dela Cruz (2013), and Ikaw Lamang (2014). After which, he has landed the major role of what is considered as one of the longest running primetime shows in ABS-CBN’s primetime, Ang Probinsyano.

Since its airing in 2015, Ang Probinsyano is still airing up until now with a total of more than 3 years of being on television. But before all of this success happened, many people do not know that Coco, like Toni Gonzaga, was actually a part of the rival network, Kapuso GMA.

In a throwback Thursday post by famous Eat Bulaga dancer Rochelle Pangilinan, she uploaded an old photo of her together with Coco Martin and other casts of Daisy Siete Season 15: Isla Chikita.

In this season of Daisy Siete, Coco Martin played the role of Rochelle Pangilinan’s leading man and love interest. He was casted along with the rest of Rochelle’s dance group together with Arthur Solinap and a lot more.

In an Instagram post, Rochelle recalled her days in the set of the 15th season of Daisy Siete and even captioned it with, “Nung mga panahong… (laughing emoji) #hubby #daisysiete #bagets #sb #luma #single #epic”

It’s funny to see that Coco had this humble beginning before he became the big star that we now know. And by the looks of it, Coco seems to be a lucky charm in making a show last extremely long. With Daisy Siete having a total of 26 seasons, will Ang Probinsyano be able to top it off or even match it?
