Heroes do not only exist in fiction but also in reality. Recently, the world witnessed the heroic act of a Malian immigrant in France who climbed a building in order to save a dangling child. Due to this, the hero named Mamadou Gassama was not only praised but was also celebrated as the real-life “Spiderman”.
Despite not having superpowers, Gassama risked his life as soon as he saw the poor child in the verge of falling. As if he was really Spiderman, he used his bare hands and strength to lift himself up. In less than a minute, he surpassed several floors to get to the balcony where the child was located.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when he quickly hoisted the child up. It seemed like the “friendly neighborhood Spiderman” came to save the day. The amazing rescue was all caught on camera where he undoubtedly showed that he really deserved to be called a hero.
Even the French President Emmanuel Macron recognized his bravery. He received a medal and certification for performing an act of courage and determination. He also got an offer for an honorable job in the Paris fire brigade. On top of these, he was finally granted French citizenship.

President Macron furthermore marveled about Gassama’s heroic act on his Instagram account.
“France is built on desire and Mr. Gassama’s commitment clearly showed that he has that desire!”
Meanwhile, the father of the four-year-old child faced charges for neglecting his parental responsibilities. Good thing, Gassama, didn’t think twice to help before it was too late. Even the hero himself felt thankful that he was at the right place and at the right time. With this, he vowed to be always ready in helping others.
