A Facebook post consisting of four videos of a talented blind lady singing random English songs went all over Facebook, giving goosebumps to Filipino netizens.
The Facebook post was uploaded with a caption saying,
“ANG GALING NYA GRABE!
This is Elsie she is totally blind. She has never been to school, never learned English. She listens to songs and learns the song. She has one of the most Amazing voices I have ever heard. She lives in a small fishing village in the Philippines.

The videos show that there are two people who alternately play guitar for the singing lady as background music for her short song covers. She sang four English songs, namely—I will Always Love You by Whitney Houston, You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Peacemakers, Just Give Me a Reason by Pink and Nate Ruess, and lastly, a current favorite of millenials today, Perfect by Ed Sheeran.
She sure can sing songs from any era, right? Now that is something that not all of us are able to pull off.
The post gathered thousands of comments of admiration. The people who have watched the videos seemed to be amused and astonished by her God-given talent, no one even said anything negative about her talent and/or her disability. Here are some of the comments:
“Sana masali ‘to sa Tawag ng Tanghalan para siya naman ang pangatlong grand champion walang duda napakagaling niya grabe”
“Your voice should be discovered and shown to all people”
“She is beautiful and amazing”
“She is so blessed to have that golden voice”
“Can someone bring her to Showtime for Tawag ng Tanghalan? She has a beautiful voice.”
There are also comments from netizens who are from other countries.
Meanwhile, many other comments were saying she should be featured on KMJS, also known as Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, a Philippine television news magazine program on GMA Network which features a lot of timely and relevant issues in the present time.
The woman who created and uploaded the Facebook post seemed to be really proud to feature the lady on her timeline. This is how much she appreciates her talent.
In spite of her disability, all of those who have seen the post have greatly showed appreciation and respect for the lady and her talent. May the talent in everyone have the chance to be showcased to the people and inspire others to do what they love, regardless of the flaws anyone could possess.
