Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis recently had her concert entitled “Annekulit: Promise Last Na ‘To.” It was held at the Araneta Coliseum. Her first concert was also held at the same place and was titled along with the debut studio album “AnneBisyosa.”
It then evolved into a concert sequel and was followed by another concert in 2014 with the title “AnneKapal (The Forbidden Concert Round 2)” Now, the actress said that this was going to be her last concert. A fan named John Anthony Luna posted a video on YouTube during the concert.
The video shows one of the highlights of that night. It started with Anne singing the song “Dadalhin” by “Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. She only sang a few lines from it then stopped and took a minute to introduce her guest. It was none other than Regine herself.
Regine’s entrance surprised a lot of people for her stunning look. Even Anne couldn’t help but compliment the singer on the microphone that made everyone laugh. Regine then started to sing one of Whitney Houston’s hits such as “I Have Nothing.”
Halfway through the song, Anne Curtis started singing with the singing legend and it continued until they somehow had a battle instead of a duet. People had mixed emotions during their performance. They were applauding for Regine’s high notes while they were laughing at Anne’s quirkiness.
After the song, they did another Whitney Houston hit, “I Will Always Love You.” This time, Anne started the lines. It was funny at first because she wasn’t sure where to begin singing. But as they both sang together again, Anne experienced a proud moment when she maintained a good tone.
Then it lasted with Regine complimenting Anne. She said even though Anne thinks that she doesn’t have a perfect pitch, she shouldn’t be afraid to sing because even Regine herself isn’t perfect. She told the actress a very heartwarming compliment saying: “I think you are a pure-blooded entertainer and performer…You have a connection with your audience, they love you, and you inspire them, that is also a very very rare quality so I just wanted to tell you that.”
She also told Anne that this shouldn’t be her last concert and that she should do more. Anne Curtis was very thankful for all the kind words Regine said. We hope we see more of these two in another show.
