Maxene Magalona and Rob Mananquil were married almost 3 months ago, up to now only a few changes have been made. As a married couple, sometimes we are expecting to see an addition to their team, perhaps a little one but this time Maxene and Rob have decided to pursue their dreams first while supporting each others backs.
She explained: “Ang usapan naman namin ni Rob, kumbaga ‘yang wedding namin is just a celebration. After nun, tuloy ang buhay. Kumbaga we will still support each other in our individual dreams. Like with him he’s also pursuing his music and ako rin tinutuloy ko ‘to [acting]. And ako naniniwala talaga ako na what’s meant for me na projects ‘yun ang mapupunta sa’kin.”
“So natutuwa ako ngayon na although matagal ako na nagpahinga after Doble Kara, okay na rin kasi nakapagfocus ako dun sa wedding, nagawa namin ng maayos. At least ngayon back to work na. It’s a brand new year and sobrang excited,” Maxene added.
When asked if they are planning to have babies soon, Maxene admitted that they still haven’t got any plans of having kids soon.
“Ayun na nga rin, ‘yung soap tinanong din nila kung may plans ako kasi siyempre alam mo ‘yun ‘yung production if ever. Sabi ko no need to worry kasi hindi pa namin ‘yun – wala pa sa plans namin ‘yun. Maybe in a couple of years but like right now, ang dami pa naming gustong matupad na pangarap. So ‘yun,” she mentioned.
“After two years pa kasi naisip ko hindi na kami bata ni Rob so hindi naman ‘yun parang basta bahala na or whatever. Kung kayang planuhin ng maayos, gagawin talaga namin – nang nakaplano ng maayos lahat,” she said, clarfying that they are planning to build a family two years from now.
They also mentioned that they want to limit their soon-to-be-kids from 2 to 3 only, mainly because of her own experience of having 7 other siblings.
“‘Yun nga lang I mean I come from a big family of eight children so kahit gustuhin ko man magkaroon ng more than – I would not run eight kids but dahil nga sa situation na ibig sabihin ganitong edad ako nagpakasal and then ito na ang age ko now, I will have to – siguro mga two to three kids banyan. Kasi nga given my age task we need to be realistic din- hindi naman bahay-bayahan lang ‘to,” she explained.
Now she’s very thankful to have someone as understanding as her husband and a guy who keeps her interests at her.
“But siyempre I mean I’m just very, very excited and very blessed to have a partner who’s so supportive. Talagang loving in all kinds of ways. I’m just happy to be going on this journey with the right person,” Maxene added.
