Earlier this week, Neri Naig, wife of “Parokya ni Edgar” vocalist Chito Miranda, couldn’t help but go on a rant against financially irresponsible people on Instagram. In a set of IG stories, the 32-year-old full-time mother called out some people who were asking financial aid from her.
Neri Naig has been known on social media for her useful tips when it comes to business and financial handling. The celebrity couple is also well-off, that’s why people approaching them for help are not uncommon. However, the 32-year-old mom noticed that some of the people who claimed to be ‘broke’ are actually undeserving of the help they are asking.
Some people claimed that they were buried waist-deep in debt, and there are some who even threatened to commit suicide due to their crippling situation. Neri, who is naturally inquisitive in nature, decided to look into the profiles of the people asking help from her.
However, she was greatly disappointed when she saw some people’s profile. Most of them can afford vacation trips, yet they have the audacity to ask for airplane ticket from Neri. This outright pretentiousness and financial irresponsibility is what grinded Neri’s gears the most:
In the end, she gave a few words of wisdom to her ‘broke’ followers who are asking for money. The former actress set herself as an example to work hard:
