David, who was a student from Brigham Young University decided to visit China to learn Mandarin. Having traveled South Korea before, his family was confident that he is somewhat familiar to the place, the culture and the people. But long after his trip should have finished, his family had not heard anything from him. Chinese officials immediately reported to the family the sad news, that their son David, slipped while he was taking a trek down the Tiger Leaping Gorge trail. They also told the family that his last appearance was in a restaurant called the Yak Bar.

David’s family is determined that the news that was delivered to them was not real. Two heads are better than one as they say, but in the case of David’s family, 12 heads are better than 1. Being 12 in the family, the Sneddon’s are firm about the news being fake and they have a way of finding the truth on their own. The father, Roy Sneddon, decided that his two younger sons should visit where he was last seen and look for some clues regarding the location of their brother. At long last, they have found the clues that they wereooking for.

The person at the desk of the hostel where the hike ends confirmed that David stayed there. There is also a tour guide who told them that he was with David the whole trek. So, what’s the truth behind David’s disappearance?

7 years after his disappearance, David’s family received a phone call from a so-called attorney that claimed that his disappearance was similar to the kidnappings made by North Koreans. There was even a source from Japan who told the family that David was indeed kidnapped and became a tutor to the North Korean Leader, Kim Jun-un. This story was confirmed by the head of the family union in South Korea, Choi Sung-Yong and he even added that David is now known by the name Yoon Bong Soo and is now married. The story being mixed up with a lot of speculations, still never pointed out the real location of David. Up to now, there are no definite clues as to where David Sneddon is.
