Ryza Cenon is now part of the growing family of ABS-CBN! According to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP,ph) the newly-minted Kapamilya actress had been with GMA-7 for 14 years before finally deciding to jump ship to its rival network.
During the contract-signing held last Thursday, April 12, Ryza explained why she decided to leave her home network of more than a decade.
According to the now-Kapamilya star, it was her talent management company, Viva Artists Agency, which made the decision for her. She said she is very confident that her managers will take care of her, and that she trusts the plans which they laid out for her.
“For me kasi, sila yung manager ko, so kailangan nilang protektahan din ako. Saka may plano sila for me and nirerespeto ko yung desisyon nila for me.”
The former Kapuso star also clarified that she asked for the blessing of her bosses first, particularly that of Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable, the GMA-7 Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group.
Now, Ryza shared that she is excited to be working with her new family. Some of the Kapamilya actors and actresses she wants to work with are Piolo Pascual, Anne Curtis, and Sarah Geronimo, among others.
The “Mr. and Mrs. Cruz” star added:
“Lahat naman yun, in-expect ko naman. Yung time na nag-decide kami, in-expect ko naman na lahat makakatrabaho ko. Dun ako nae-excite, kasi syempre marami rin akong matututunan sa kanila.”
Ryza also took to Instagram to thank her new network for welcoming her in their home. She wrote:
“I am really grateful. Salamat po sa mainit na pagtanggap at tiwala. Isa na kong ganap na Kapamilya.”
