You probably know her as the Ultimate Female Survivor of the second season of “StarStruck” in 2004. She also starred in the networks highest-rating daytime soap, ‘Ika-6 na Utos’. However, Ryza Cenon’s stay for the GMA-7 has come to an end as the public welcomes her to the Kapamilya network.
On Thursday, the actress finally signed in the contract signing: “Sobrang grateful ako na binigyan ako ng opportunity ng ABS-CBN at sobrang init nang pagtanggap nila sa akin dito,” she said in an interview.
She added: “I cannot be avoided to ask why would she leave the other network after the successful daytime soap that she had a part with, and with confidence she knew she wanted to explore new in her career.”
Ryza said: “Gusto ko kasing ma-explore pa lahat, gusto ko pang makatrabaho ‘yung iba pang artista na magagaling at ‘yung matutunan sa kanila.”
“Actually pinakanag-decide nito is ‘yung Viva for me, kasi sila ‘yung manager ko eh so kailangan din nilang protektahan din ako at saka meron silang plano for me and nire-respeto ko ‘yung decision nila for me,” she added.
Cenon also said that she properly bid her farewell to the other network. “Before naman ako umalis, nagpaaalam naman ako sa kanila and thankful din ako sa GMA kasi sila rin naman nagpakilala sa akin as Ryza Cenon at nagpapasalamat din ako sa kanila dahil naiintindihan nila ako.”
Now, as her newest project in the Kapamilya network, Ryza will star in FPJ’s “Ang Probinsyano.”
“Excited na kinakabahan, kasi siyempre hindi naman pwedeng wala lang ‘yung gagawin mo do’n so kailangan lahat ng best mo do’n kailangan ibigay,” she said.
