But you would be surprised to know that the actress’ wardrobe is largely composed of vintage outfits. Where did she get these amazing outfits? She got them from her famous and fabulous grandmother, singer Pilita Corales. Pilita was also a fashion icon back in her day and it doesn’t hurt that Janine would be the one inheriting that amazing wardrobe.

A beaded gown that Janine rocked in a Thailand five-star resort called Alila Villas Uluwatu was just one of the pieces that she received from her legendary grandmother. It also hugged Janine’s body as if it was custom-made and the fact that Pilita Corales might have worn this in the stage truly made it special.

“I love old clothes especially from my lola, from my mom… I really think old clothes bring like another layer to whatever you’re wearing.”

“…suwerte lang kasi because we’re the same size din ng shoes, so yung mga luma niyang shoes, luma niyang bags, ako yung nakakapag-recycle.”

Let’s hope that one day, Janine’s child would also inherit these dresses and transform it as a family heirloom.
