During an interview with PEP last April 6, Ian opened up that he isn’t active online. That is why, when he was asked about his opinion on the flock of bashers targeting his former” A Love To Last” leading lady, Bea Alonzo, the 43-year-old actor was hesitant on giving his opinion.

“I have no idea, lalo na pagdating sa mga follow-unfollow, kasi hindi ako active online. Napaka-cave man ko pagdating diyan.

Last few weeks, Bea was bombarded with negative comments by some netizens because of the issue that she unfollowed her alleged boyfriend, Gerald Anderson and the latter’s “My Perfect You” leading lady Pia Wurtzbach on Instagram. Because of that, speculation that the couple broke up sparked among their fans. However, after a few days Bea followed Gerald back.

Netizens then had another speculation that the ‘follow-unfollow’ thing was probably just a “promo” for Gerald and Pia’s movie.

Moreover, according to Ian, he cannot give his comments on the issue because it would sound unfair and biased.

Ian then admitted that he does not have an idea on the bashing issue that his former leading lady is facing on social media.

“Wala akong alam diyan kung bakit siya bina-bash. Pero sa akin, napakasarap katrabaho ni Bea, napakabait na tao. I hope hindi siya i-bash.”

The veteran actor revealed that he is close with Bea and they often share stories about each other.

“Si Bea and I are good friends.Nagkakausap kami and I’d like to think that we’re good friends. “Kasi ako, I confide a lot of stuff, and siya rin ganun,” he added.
