We bet everyone has their own personal travel bucket list with all the places and locales that we wish to visit someday. For some of us, it includes famous tourist spots in Asia such as the Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the stunning temples in Laos. Although these places are unquestionably beautiful, we should consider the unheard gorgeous place in their neighboring country, Vietnam. Let’s take a look at Vietnam’s unheard gem, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
The aforementioned park boasts more than 300 grottos and caves that are yet to be explored and appreciated by travelers and tourists. According to Boredom Therapy, these caves were molded out of “naturally occurring limestone.” If you consider yourself a thrill-seeker, then these caves are the place for you!
A farmer discovered the cave in 1991 and has only been opened to everyone five years ago.
The locale seems like a setting in a science fiction movie or novel – once you step in the cave. The coloration and texture of the limestone give off the impression that you have been transported to another planet.
The caves also hold a rich amount of plant life, as well as greet and mossy mountains to be marveled at. It also boasts unique forms of stalactites and stalagmites – making it an ideal shooting setting of fantasy films.
What makes going to the park exciting is that there are some caves waiting to be explored! This is extremely electrifying especially to those who thirst for thrilling quests.
When you grew tired of exploring the place and think you might need a good rest – don’t fret because you can sleep in the cave! Guided tours of these caves offer an overnight camp.
Seriously, if Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park looks this phenomenal in the pictures, then how much more are they in person?
