Julia Barretto quashes persisting rumors circulating her and Joshua Garcia

It has been a while since news concerning a private conversation between Joshua Garcia and a female netizen stirred the public. However, there are some netizens who could not move on from the controversy. While there are still some people who claim that the rumored couple, Julia Barreto and Joshua split up because of an alleged third party, the young actress decided to quash those rumors for once and for all.

On April 5, the actress quoted a tweet:

Shortly afterwards, her tweet ignited a war between shippers of Joshua and Loisa Andalio and JoshLia fans. Loisa happens to be Joshua’s leading lady in “The Good Son.” Here are some of the netizens’ tweets that you would see on Julia’s thread:

Then again, the 21-year-old actress became the pacifier in the Twitter war and urged the people to stop making stories. On the same day, she tweeted:

“What’s all this fan war about? I’m so confused. How’d it lead to that? I was pertaining to the rumors spreading about Josh and I, and some people managed to make more stories up. I’m 21, not 12. Stop making two people who are okay, fight. Stop it with the drama.”
