Zsa Zsa Padilla on netizen calling her ‘kulubot na’: “No shame in that”

Social media has a great influence on the world of showbiz, but not always in the positive sense. The thing is, celebrities are always put on a pedestal, that not only bashers and critics but fans as well don’t seem to realize that they, too, are only human. This was exactly the takeaway from the fiery encounter between Zsa Zsa Padilla and a netizen last Sunday, April 1, which made waves on Instagram quite easily.

Then in Japan, the singer-actress took to the image sharing app with a short clip of herself showing the burn she got from her hair curler by accident. To be fair, she did alright–that perhaps a mighty follower deemed it okay to focus on her ‘kulubot’ hands instead. Said follower was quoted as saying:
“Kita na edad mo. Pati po sa kamay kulubot na.”

As for the seasoned celebrity? She’s “proud to be old and 53”. Deal with it.
“I see my hands every day and I know it shows my age. Should it matter? Why should growing old be thrown as an insult to women? And FYI, I filmed this with no filter and I’m not even wearing foundation so your idea of ‘too much make up’ is pretty inaccurate. As for Belo treatments, it helps but we never claim to have discovered the fountain of youth. Please don’t shame me for aging. It’s a natural process I’d like to enjoy going through. One day, you may be lucky to grow old yourself and realize, it’s not as bad as you perceive it to be.”

Now, will any other basher would dare come forth?
